انقسمت آراء جماهير ليفربول عن أداء نجمنا المصري محمد صلاح، بعد مشاركته في مباراة إيفرتون بالدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وتعادل ليفربول مع إيفرتون في ديربي ميرسيسايد، ضمن الجولة السادسة من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز على ملعب جوديسون بارك بدون أهداف.

Leeds United managed to come away from Brighton with a point despite a sloppy performance on Saturday evening.

Raphinha was brought back into the side but had an evening to forget. The influential winger was the Whites’ worst-rated performer with a rating of 6.3/10.

He lost the ball a whopping 21 times, was second-best in eight of his 15 duels and completed just one of his five attempted dribbles.

The Brazil winger also failed to register a shot on goal or complete a key pass, with nothing clicking for Leeds on the south coast.

Junior Firpo – 6.6/10

Firpo was another man who was brought back in by Bielsa, but he had a torrid evening and was replaced at the interval.

Booked early on, the Spaniard failed to cope with Tariq Lamptey, losing six of his 12 duels and committing four fouls.

The left-back gave the ball away eight times in 45 minutes and failed to make a key pass going forward prior to his early withdrawal.

Jack Harrison – 6.6/10

In front of Firpo was Harrison, who kept his place in the side following the defeat to Tottenham last time out but struggled against the Seagulls.

He lost eight of his 11 duels, gave the ball away on 19 occasions and made just one key pass all evening.

Harrison also failed to complete any of his crosses and didn’t register a shot on goal, making it an evening to forget for the left-hand side.

هداف الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في الموسم الماضي، لم يبدأ موسم 22/2023 كما كان متوقعًا، وتلقى العديد من الانتقادات مؤخرًا.

وقال بارنز في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ليفربول إيكو” البريطانية: “لم يُسجل محمد صلاح العديد من الأهداف كما يشاء ولكنه يعتاد أيضًا على نظام جديد”.

وأضاف: “الطريقة التي يلعب بها نونيز تختلف عن فيرمينو وماني، ويجب أنّ يعتاد اللاعبون على هذا النظام”.

وواصل: “لذا الأمر ليس بهذه البساطة، إذا نظرت إلى إيرلينج هالاند، وكونه النقطة المحورية لتسجيل جميع الأهداف على سبيل المثال، إذا حدث ذلك في ليفربول سيسجل صلاح الكثير من الأهداف، ولكن طريقة الثلاثي الأمامي الآن تغيرت”.

وتابع: “الآن بالطبع الثلاثي الأمامي مع نونيز أصبحت طريقة لعبهم مختلفة قليلًا، لذا سيتطلب الأمر بعض الوقت للتعود على طريقة اللعب كما حدث مع ماني في ظل وجود لويس دياز”.

واختتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “محمد صلاح لم يبدأ بالشكل الذي كان يود أن يبدأ به، لكنني مُتأكد أنه سيعود، أنا أراه يتحسّن ومو لاعب رائع بلا شك”.

محمد صلاح مُنذ بداية الموسم مع ليفربول، خاض 8 مباريات بواقع 693 دقيقة، وسجّل ثلاثة أهداف وصنع مثلها، اثنان في الدوري الإنجليزي وهدف في كأس الدرع الخيرية.

Australian captain Ricky Ponting has said it would be wrong to pick favourites before their seven-match ODI series gets underway in India on October 25. Though Australia have the momentum in their favour, following their Champions Trophy victory in South Africa, Ponting expected the home side to give them a fight.”India is a very good and strong one-day team and we are not underestimating them. We are the number one and two teams in the world and it all points to an entertaining and good contest over the next few weeks,” he said in Mumbai a day after the team landed.”We have always enjoyed playing in India and against India. Our rivalry over the last few years has been growing and its good for the world game.”Both teams arrived in South Africa with series wins under their belt but left the country with contrasting results. Australia had drubbed England 6-1 after losing the Ashes and went on to retain the Champions Trophy. India won the tri-series in Sri Lanka but failed to reach the semi-finals in South Africa. New Zealand allrounder Scott Styris is aiming to re-cement his place in the team during the ODI and Twenty20 series against Pakistan in the UAE, since he’s been in and out of the national set-up during the last few months.”I feel like I’ve been away forever, even though I’ve had short stints with the team over the last 12 months,” Styris told blackcaps.co.nz. “It’s good to catch up with everybody again and get back into some work over here.”I feel like I’ve been hitting the ball really well. At the Twenty20 World Cup I was relatively happy with the way that went, and since then – without playing a lot of cricket – I feel like I’ve been going ok. Leeds United managed to rescue a draw in their latest Premier League game against Brentford at Elland Road thanks to a last-gasp injury-time goal from Patrick Bamford.

Tyler Roberts put Marcelo Bielsa’s side 1-0 up in the first half before the visitors managed to get back in front thanks to goals from Shandon Baptiste and Sergi Canos before Bamford saved the day from the substitutes bench.

One Leeds player that also came off the bench but failed to have anywhere near the same sort of impact that Bamford had on this occasion, despite playing a lot longer than the striker did was Jack Harrison, who is currently picking up a weekly wage of £60k-per-week according to Salary Sport.

Bielsa chose to put Harrison on after defender Liam Cooper was forced off with an injury, giving the former Manchester City wide man 75 minutes of playing time under his belt this afternoon.

In those 75 minutes, Harrison had 81 touches of the ball but managed to lose possession of it on 28 occasions, completing just 36 of the 49 passes he attempted.

Having previously been labelled as an “important” player for Leeds by David Prutton, the winger also failed to accurately make any of the eight crosses and two long balls he attempted and lost 11 of the 21 duels he was involved in.

This performance ultimately earned Harrison an uninspiring overall match rating of 6.3/10, making him the lowest rated Leeds player on the day according to SofaScore which goes to show that he did not repay the faith put in him by Bielsa on this occasion.

Leeds Live also picked up on his lacklustre display by saying that it is “still not really happening for a prolonged period for Harrison in attack.”

Moving forward, given his poor display today, it’s hard to see Bielsa giving Harrison a place in the starting XI for their next league game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next weekend.

Looking at the season as a whole, since Leeds signed the Englishman on a permanent basis over the summer, Harrison has only managed to provide one assist in the league so far this season and earned himself a poor overall rating of 6.44/10, making him one of the lowest-rated Leeds players that have started more than one league game this season according to WhoScored.

With this in mind, it can be argued that the Yorkshire club made a mistake in signing Harrison permanently and that his performances this season have undoubtedly embarrassed their head of recruitment, Victor Orta.

“He’s so physical, so all-action, strong, aggressive, and quick. But if he gets injured, they are seriously going to miss him.

“Getting someone else in who can take the strain off Antonio if you wanted to rest or rotate him at times, oh my, that would be a really shrewd move for David Moyes in January.”

The Verdict: Perfect January acquisition

There is no doubt that a striker needs to arrive at the London Stadium next month if West Ham are to mount a genuine top-four bid, as well as go far in the Europa League.

At the moment, there is too much onus on Antonio, who at 31 can’t play every game and has had injury problems in the past.

Cabral would represent a hugely exciting young alternative – someone who can add squad depth, quality and goals from the bench, and also be a long-term signing with great potential, given his goalscoring exploits this term at the age of just 23.
