Offering Hashim Amla a life is generous. Gifting him two is criminal. New Zealand were left searching for a third chance while he completed a 16th ODI century in Mount Maunganui. Faced with a target of 283, the hosts’ reply was woefully similar to the series opener: wickets rained down at one end, Luke Ronchi carried on at the other, reset New Zealand’s record for the final-wicket partnership and was last man out to hand South Africa the series.Short of two of their best batsmen, Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson, the New Zealand top order looked far too green and struggled to balance attack and defence. Only Ronchi, who made a brisk 79 off 83, displayed enough application to tax South Africa’s bowlers.Martin Guptill drilled a half-volley into short cover’s waiting hands and the scoreboard read 25 for 1. Four runs later, James Neesham suffered another dejection as he continued flirting with the role of one-day opener, dragging the ball onto his stumps.Tom Latham transformed a rank long hop from AB de Villiers’ into the South Africa captain’s maiden ODI wicket, Dean Brownlie missed a straight delivery and his off stump took the brunt of it, and Corey Anderson nailed a short ball to short midwicket. Fifty-seven of his runs came through those regions.New Zealand’s fielding too was rather amateurish. An Amla outside edge slid away to the third man boundary, with keeper and a wide first slip staring at each other. He had been on 5. With no luck off the fuller length, Southee flung down a few short balls and the inherent tennis-ball bounce on offer messed with Amla’s pulls. One of them skewed off the top edge, but Daniel Vettori lost sight of it in the sun.If Amla was the backbone, Faf du Plessis was the propellant as he used his feet to create the lengths he wanted. Despite only five boundaries in his innings – including two stunning straight sixes – his 67 came off only 73 balls. The partnership accounted for 113 runs through the middle overs at 5.46 per over without any risk.Amla was at his sublime best in the 44th over- having just reached his century – when Trent Boult was carved through point, tucked past midwicket, manoeuvred to fine leg and slashed to third man for four successive boundaries and the bowler was eventually left nursing figures of 10-0-70-2.South Africa had looked primed to cross 300, but Amla’s dismissal sparked a collapse. Six wickets fell in the final 34 balls for the addition of only 25 runs.Anderson delivered a double-wicket maiden to end the innings as only one of the last six overs cost more than five runs.The only other time New Zealand forced the opposition to dig deep was when Ronchi and Mitchell McClenaghan, who had become the joint second-fastest to 50 ODI wickets earlier in the day, combined to add 76 runs for the 10th wicket and improving the record set during the previous match. But it was nothing more than a consolation prize.

كشفت تقارير صحفية موقف الاتحاد الإنجليزي لكرة القدم من التحقيق فيما حدث من قِبل ثنائي مانشستر سيتي، إيرلينج هالاند وكايل ووكر، بعد مباراة الأمس ضد آرسنال.

وخسر مانشستر سيتي من آرسنال، بهدف دون رد، في قمة منافسات الجولة الثامنة من الدوري الإنجليزي على ملعب “الإمارات”.

وبعد المباراة، شوهد هالاند وكايل ووكر وهما يدخلان في مشادة قوية مع مدرب الركلات الثابتة في آرسنال (لمطالعة التفاصيل من هنا).

واحتدمت الأمور بين الأطراف، قبل أن تتدخل عناصر من أمن الملعب، واتجه ووكر وهالاند بعد ذلك إلى النفق.

ووفقًا لما ذكرته شبكة “بي بي سي” العالمية، فإن الاتحاد الإنجليزي لكرة القدم قرر عدم اتخاذ أي إجراء في هذا الشأن.

وأوضحت أن مسؤولي الاتحاد الإنجليزي يرون أن الأمر قد حُل سريعًا، ومن ثم لا توجد حاجة إلى المزيد من البحث والتدقيق في الحادث.

The Pakistan batsmen continued their plunder in the UAE, their relentless accumulation spanning 171 overs snuffing out New Zealand’s hopes of victory and ensuring the visitors would face a severe trial by spin to save the first Test in Abu Dhabi. Their performance was the first time in Test cricket that all of the top-five batsmen made more than 80 in an innings; three of them went on to score hundreds that flattened a flagging New Zealand attack.The home side’s achievements were numerous. Ahmed Shehzad improved his best Test score, and his 169-run stand with Azhar Ali made it the first time Pakistan had had two 150-plus partnerships for the first two wickets. Azhar went past 50 for the fourth time in five innings, Younis Khan made his fourth hundred in five innings, and Misbah-ul-Haq completed a hat-trick of centuries. Pakistan ended on 566 for 3 – the first time they had declared in four successive Test innings – and gave the weary New Zealand openers seven overs to survive.Brendon McCullum, who was opening for New Zealand once again instead of Hamish Rutherford, and Tom Latham were able to negotiate a varied attack from Pakistan’s four specialist bowlers, but that did not take anything away from it being the home side’s day.Pakistan had reason to celebrate in the first half-hour of the second day, as Shehzad pushed Trent Boult through cover to bring up the century stand with Azhar, who then clipped Tim Southee through midwicket to pass fifty. Shehzad was taken to hospital where a CT scan revealed a minor fracture to his skull.New Zealand had to wait 53 overs for their first wicket, another 63 for their second, but the third did not take as long. Azhar was on 87 when Ish Sodhi drifted a legbreak on to leg stump, beat the batsman in the length, and spun it sharply past the forward defence to hit off stump. It was an inspirational delivery, but it could not galvanise New Zealand, and their standards slumped further.Younis glanced the seamers when they drifted on to his pads, swept Sodhi when given time to get down low and free his arms and pulled dismissively off the back foot when he dropped short. Seven of Younis’ first eight boundaries were between fine leg and deep midwicket.Misbah went after Sodhi too, slogging him over the midwicket boundary, but the bowler was unlucky not to dismiss the Pakistan captain. After being swept for four, Sodhi induced a mis-hit from Misbah, but watched Craig mis-judge the catch at point. In his next over, Sodhi drew another miscue from Misbah, but Jimmy Neesham put down an absolute sitter at cover. Misbah responded by pulling the legspinner through midwicket and mid-on for boundaries, and even played a reverse sweep.Pakistan scored 124 runs in the second session, and after tea Misbah and Younis motored unperturbed towards a declaration total. They were neck and neck in the race to a hundred – both were on 99 at one point. Younis got his off 141 balls, Misbah off 162, and they trooped off the ground with seven tired New Zealanders in tow.

OSuperior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Futebol (STJD) divulgou uma recomendação para combater os casos de homofobia no futebol brasileiro. Nesta segunda-feira, o órgão emitiu o comunicado a clubes e federações, para que eles atuem de maneira preventiva contra o preconceito. Os árbitros, por sua vez, devem relatar qualquer tipo de manifestação deste tipo nas súmulas.

Em junho, a CBF voltou a ser multada por gritos homofóbicos, registrados na vitória do Brasil sobre a Bolívia, por 3 a 0, na abertura da Copa América, no Morumbi. O caso é recorrente nos estádios brasileiros.

A recomendação do STJD foi assinada pelo procurador-geral Felipe Bevilacqua e já entrou em vigor.

Confira parte do texto divulgado pelo STJD:

“RECOMENDA-SE:

Que a partir desta data os árbitros, auxiliares e delegados das partidas relatem na súmula e/ou documentos oficiais dos jogos a ocorrência de manifestações preconceituosas e de injúria em decorrência de opção sexual por torcedores ou partícipes das competições, devendo os oficiais das partidas serem orientados da presente recomendação, bem como, cumpram todas as determinações regulamentares aplicáveis em vigor;

Que os Clubes e Federações realizem campanhas educativas junto aos torcedores, atletas e demais partícipes das competições com o fim de evitar a ocorrência de infrações desta natureza, o mais breve possível.”.

وأكمل: “ما يريده كارلو هو رؤية أفضل ما يمكنني تقديمه، وهو هكذا مع الجميع، لكن معنا نحن الشباب أكثر، صحيح أنه يريد أن يعلم ويساعد، ولكنه أيضًا يسأل كيف تسير الأمور في المنزل، وكيف نشعر، وكيف هي الأسرة، إنه يعلم أننا نقضي وقتًا بعيدًا عن المنزل وهو قلق، كل هذا يجعله شخصًا جيدًا حقًا”.

وعن زين الدين زيدان المدرب السابق لريال مدريد: “كمدرب، زيدان ساعدني كثيرًا، خاصة في القدرة على العودة والدفاع، لقد أصر كثيرا على المشاركة في المجهود الجماعي”.

وتابع: “منحني الحرية في التعبير عن نفسي، في البرازيل لم يطلبوا مني أي شيء دفاعيًا، أو بالكاد، لقد غيرني كثيرا، زيزو جعلني أفهم أن الأمرين لا يتعارضان، لقد علمني الكثير”.

وعن زيدان كلاعب: “أخبرني كاسيميرو ومارسيلو كثيرًا عنه، وبشكل جيد جدًا، هو مرجع للجميع، لم أراه يلعب كثيرًا، فقد كنت صغيرًا جدًا، لكن رأيته على يوتيوب، لقد لعب بشكل جيد مثل عدد قليل من اللاعبين الآخرين”.

وفيما يتعلق بصافرات الجماهير: “يمكن للجماهير أن تطلق الصافرات عليّ طوال المباراة، لا أهتم، وعندما يتعلق الأمر بالعنصرية، فهذا شيء آخر”.

وواصل: “الصافرات جزء من اللعبة، ليو ميسي، كريستيانو رونالدو، كريم بنزيما، نيمار، جميعهم جربوا ذلك، يستفزهم المشجعون من الفرق الأخرى وهذا أمر طبيعي، وأنا أحب ذلك أيضًا، فهو يحفزني على التسجيل في مرمىهم”.

The PCB said Maqsood had suffered a wrist bone fracture and a small tear in one of the ligaments of the wrist and has been advised three weeks of rest.”Sohaib Maqsood has been advised three weeks of relative rest after diagnostic investigations confirmed the initial suspicion of wrist bone fracture and a small tear in one of the ligaments of wrist,” the PCB said in a press release. “Sohaib injured his wrist while playing for Pakistan ‘A’ against UAE last month. This injury will put him out of contention for selection in the T20I and ODI series against New Zealand.”The board also provided an update on opener Ahmed Shehzad who had been ruled out of the Test series against New Zealand after suffering a minor skull fracture during the first Test in Abu Dhabi. Shehzad can commence physical workouts from next week but has been advised to avoid contact sports for six weeks. The opener does not need to undergo surgery and his fitness is expected to be assessed again on Monday.”Presently he has mild tenderness over the fracture site. Also his mouth opening has improved considerably from the previously limited state,” the PCB said. “He does not have any limitation of lateral excursion movement of lower jaw, which is expected following this injury. On inspection, there is no obvious asymmetry although there is mild swelling.”It has been decided that he will be treated conservatively for this injury as surgery is required only for cosmetic reasons in such cases. A review has been planned on Monday. He has been advised to avoid contact sports for a period of six weeks but he can start his physical workout from next week.”The PCB also said fast bowler Wahab Riaz had made a complete recovery while Junaid Khan was still on the mend. Both quicks had suffered knee injuries. Wahab bowled 68 overs in two Quaid-e-Azam league games for National Bank and will appear for a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy next week, before being considered for selection. Junaid, meanwhile, will undergo an MRI review next week. Mohammad Hafeez, who was ruled out of the second Test due to a hamstring injury, is also recovering and had spent a few days at the National Cricket Academy on his rehabilitation. Hafeez had been reported for a suspect action after the Abu Dhabi Test and will have his action tested in Loughborough next week.
